It has now been just about 2 weeks since we have been back in sunny California, it is crazy how fast the time is flying by! It mostly seems fast because of how busy we have been, and the business has been quite enjoyable! Even the job hunting, in Seattle it was so stressful but this time around we are really choosing to believe and trust that God is going to take care of us, If I were God I would be so frustrated with myself because he has provided for us over and over and over and taken care of us, and still I get stressed and worried... but this time I am really trying to focus in on Jesus and know that he has everything under control! Phew! As a matter of fact, Jeff has an interview in about 10 minutes with a previous employee, so we will see how it goes! Prayers!!
Last week we got to get some lunch with these studly boys!! or should I say young men... sheesh, I still cannot believe how grown up they all are! I am so blessed to have such awesome brothers, I seriously love them to pieces!
Jacob is hard at work at In-N-Out still, and Taylor just might join him there too! They know they can always donate their free burger at the end of their shift to their good ol pregnant sista! Sean is still whacking base balls left and right! We are excited to start going to some of his games and seeing his skills in action! WOOO!!
We also made it out to the beach one day!! Jeff and I love the ocean, and it has been so nice to be close to it again! It is so refreshing and really reminds me of just how beautiful God designed things! We invited our lovely friend Jen, to come down and hang with us! I have missed this girl, and was so excited to finally give her a squeeze! We caught up and had some really good conversation on the beach, followed by some delicious snacking at a near by Starbucks! P.S. the Santa Fe Chicken Panini is AMAZING. yum. I totally fried in the sun, my PNW skin was just not quite ready for a day of intense sunshine! After a couple of days though, the burn turned into and nice little tan...oh I can't wait to be bronzed again!
I love this picture of Jeff and I, just wait until our snow white skin is sun kissed! We are really enjoying being back and catching up with friends and family! It's strange though, I remember talking with a friend and she had shared that a visit to this area didn't feel like home, and neither did where they are living now... I totally understand what she was talking about now! We didn't feel at home in Seattle, and being back in this area doesn't feel like home either, we know that God has yet to bring us to the place where we will settle and plant some roots... but we know he has a plan and we are sticking to it!
Jeff got to go away to Glamis over this past weekend with some of his friends, he had a really awesome time and sent me some pictures of the desert that looked like the movie Aladdin!! He totally got to enjoy some man time, riding around on dirt bikes and gettin dirty with the boys! I was glad that he got to do that, but definitely missed him for the whole 2 days he was gone! Our queen bed felt so HUGE!
While he was gone, I went and tried out Calvary Chapel Canyon Hills with my dear sweet friend Sarah! I actually really enjoyed and saw some familiar faces there! I am excited for Jeff to try it out with me this weekend. They also have a couples bible study that meets on Friday nights that we might have to check out if Jeff likes it as much as I did. It was wonderful catching up with my friend after church too! She was such a blessing and encouragement to me during some very difficult times, and it was nice to share with her how thankful I am for her friendship.
Owen is growing and moving so much! It is strange though because his movements are not always the same, the past week he hasn't been kicking and punching me as hard as he normally does, of course being the concerned first time mommy that I am I called the doctor and he assured me that as long as I am feeling him move that everything is OK, and that some days he will move more than others. My mind was set at ease after that and then even more so when we got to go to Debbie's work and hear his little heart beating 153, nice and sturdy! I just can't wait to meet our little guy, I look at his clothes hanging in the closet and dream about his squishy little self filling them up! I have had some trouble with my prenatals, I had the privilege of getting prescription prenatals up in Seattle while I had my insurance, they were so nice! easy on my stomach, no nausea, a pinch of stool softener (hey does wonders for a pregnant lady!) and just all around dreamy! I had to switch back to over the counter regulars just from Target and they have been making me so SICK! On my way to church on Sunday I had eaten my breakfast and popped my vitamins while I was driving, a few minutes later, I was pulled over on the side of Railroad Canyon puking my guts out! NOT a fun time. That was actually the first time I have thrown up my entire pregnancy :/ I bet the people driving by thought..."poor hungover girl..." ahahahhahah just cleaned myself up and headed right into church! Im sure I might of smelled... just a little...
But other than that, it has been good! We have made it to month 6
My lovely mom got me this dress at Forever 21, and I love it! It is so comfy and just what a large lady needs, room!
Love and blessings xoxo
