We made it!!!
It was a very l..o...n...g... drive but we finally made it to CA on Saturday afternoon. We left Friday morning from Seattle around 6, drove through some rain, made it to OR, drove through some snow, then finally made it to CA, drove through some fog and a bit of sunshine! It was a mixed feeling morning as we left Seattle, driving over the Ballard bridge and looking at the moon shining on the water, driving down Nickerson and glancing over at the canal, passing my West Lake Starbucks, and getting on the freeway at Mercer. We will definitely miss the beauty of Seattle and some of the wonderful friends that we made there!
I already miss my CHA buddies!! Monday mornings just aren't them same anymore!! We were excited thinking about getting back and seeing our families, and staring on the adventures that God has for us here. We got to Redding around 6-ish and headed straight to heaven...
It looks like Jeff is running to the front door... ok, maybe he was. There is nothing like the smell of In-N-Out, it is like a symphony for your nose! Yes the line was OUTRAGEOUS, but it was so worth the wait! I sunk my choppers into this beauty...

Oh my good lord in heaven, thank you for blessing me with this delicious piece of goodness... YUM. Ali, I wish there was a way I could mail you one of these beauties! and... Dick's you can chew on this!!! bhahahahah!!!
After filling our tummies, we went to our hotel to get some shut eye. We were back on the road at 3:45, I know Jeff means business. We finally got into L.A. around 2ish, and boy oh boy did we have a RUDE awakening to the craziness of CA drivers. People swerve, drive WAY too fast, cut us off, and have never heard of blinkers!
I am so glad that WA made me a safer driver, now when I hit 70, it feels like I am speeding! There is one person in particular whose driving skills definitely belong in WA, you know who you are! ;)
We had dinner with my dad and family on Saturday night, we were totally blessed with presents for baby Owen, lets just say he will be one stylish baby! I got to see my brother who is leaving for Iraq for a year, so that was really nice. We also ate dad and tammy's delicious Christmas Lasagna... one word folks, amazing...
It has been 3 days back now, the sun is warm, I love going to Target with my mom and shopping for Owen. (side note, moms are NUTS with first grandchildren, my mom has bought him so many clothes it is crazzzzzy) We are just so excited to be close to everyone again. Insurance is done and taken care of and feel God's hand in our lives, directing us and taking care of us every step of the way!
Now, we begin the job hunt for Jeff!! If anyone knows of any places hiring let us know! in the area or SD or OC area!
mmmmkay, so much love!!
xoxo
(pictures later, I have NO idea where my camera uploader thingamadoodle is...)

I'm glad you made it safe and are enjoying family. LA is a rude awakening when you've been gone for awhile hahaha! I am so glad you finally got some In-N-Out too!! Yay!
