mom.

Thinking about the baby that is growing inside of me, makes my heart flutter.  I automatically smile and find myself day dreaming of what life will be like when our new addition arrives!  Jeff and I feel so blessed and overwhelmed that God chose us to be this babies parents.  It is amazing to think that God already knows this baby, he created him/her and knows every detail of its life.  and He chose me to be its mom... mom. AHH, I still cannot believe it, every time I think about that I just feel so in awe, I am going to be a mom. Creation, and life is so amazing. God is so good to us and He takes care of us, and I know that no matter how stressful life seems, or how hard it might get, I know He will carry us through, and we can trust Him. He is good.

Babycenter.com has this awesome page where it shows you how big your baby is in comparison to fruits/vegetables... Here is week 6:

A lentil!

I often wonder, what will the baby look like?  Will it have brown hair, blondish brown hair, maybe red hair? Will it have blue eyes, green eyes, freckles, will it be fat and squishy or long and lanky? What kind of personality will it have? If its a boy will it love to get dirty and play outside, or if it is a girl will she want to have tea parties in the living room? Even thinking about these things I get all teary eyed! that could be the pregnancy hormones... But what I pray for most for our baby is that one day it would come to know and love Jesus.  I ask God to help prepare us to be good parents, that we would guide and lead our child down that path that leads to Him.  I want our baby to grow up knowing that God loves him/her so much!  That he/she is one of a kind, special, a treasure.

I just can't wait to meet our little lentil!  Don't worry friends, next week he/she will be a kidney bean! :) too cute!
